REY »» scrounging Strong, kind, better in a fight than half the troopers on base if not all of them, and one of the only friends I had left in the whole Galaxy. I never got the chance to tell her I was sorry for dragging her into the First Order's sights (I guess in a way I'm not - it's terrifying, thinking about where I'd be if it wasn't for her) but if I'm honest, I'm just happy knowing she's safe now. She deserves it after everything we put her through. That I put her through. I'm definitely gonna miss her, though.

POE DAMERON »» ejecting He gave me a name. A real one. Made me feel like a person instead of a number and I know a lot of that had to do with me breaking him out, but I also know he didn't have to. Poe Dameron was a good friend when I had nothing to give back, and I'm glad— I'm really, really glad that he didn't get stuck here with Kylo Ren hanging around waiting for a second chance. He was right about leaving. I only wish I could have gone with him.

People say the Force tells you everything, so if they're right, he probably figured it out before I did. He saved my life, he fought Kylo Ren and if it wasn't for him, I'd be dead by now at least two times over. So yeah, that's just how it is: whether he wanted it or not, we're friends. And I'm going to say it anyway. Screw the Force.

ANA RAMIR »» heavyhitter She said Kylo Ren seemed nice. I'm not fixating on that (really, I'm not) but the longer I sat thinking about it the more worried I was for her. I can't blame her for not knowing he's a monster, and I don't think he's going to flip out and hurt her without a reason, but it's...surreal, you know? Back on base, Ren was the kind of thing you didn't talk about. Didn't touch. Here, he's human. Hell, he's more than that: I burned him. I saw him bleed. It makes me think it's too easy for people to never realize how cruel he is until the moment they say 'no'— and she's too nice a person to be hanging out with him. Also I should probably tell her my name isn't really Han Solo.

Plus it's a neat idea, getting to hang out with animals: talk to them, take care of them, do...whatever else people do with pets aside from the kind of villainous petting we always watched in the recreational vids back on base. I mean I don't think that last one's actually legitimate, but you know somebody out there's tried it at least once.

I'm pretty sure he'd be down for it, (he seems like he's genuinely down for just about anything) but I'll probably wait to ask about that until we're back in Oska or whatever. KYLO REN »» sololoquy How people even like this guy is beyond me. Come to think of it not all of the First Order was indoctrinated from birth so I guess it's not that much of a shock that bad taste is chronic no matter what universe you're in. Either way, Kylo Ren still sucks. On the plus side, since it's just us now, I guess I don't have to keep everything I do on lockdown. At least not with Anakin watching my back: twenty credits says he'd tear into Ren for looking at me wrong. You know, because we're friends. And he isn't.
